CRISTIANO RONALDO has been sent off on his Champions League debut for Juventus against Valencia – and will now miss an emotional match against former club Manchester United.

Ronaldo signed for Juventus from Real Madrid in July for £105million, with the Serie A giants hopeful he can propel them to Champions League glory.

He broke his duck for his new side against Sassuolo at the weekend and was given the nod against Valencia this evening, expected to hit the goal trail once again.

However, Ronaldo has now been dismissed on his Juventus Champions League debut following a clash with Jeison Murillo in the area.

The 33-year-old received his marching orders following a collision in the box and immediately broke into tears, throwing a full-on tantrum on the pitch.

Ronaldo now faces the prospect of a two-match ban.

And that means he will miss an emotional return to Manchester United.

Ronaldo was due to line up against his old side on October 23 but will now cruelly miss out.

Should UEFA opt to hand him a THREE-game suspension, that would rule him out of both clashes against Jose Mourinho’s side.
