The Management and staff of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA), have celebrated some of their retiring staff after meritorious service to the state.
The ceremony held at the Conference Room of the Authority at Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA Ikeja, had some key staff present.
The retirees are: Idowu Adetokunbo Olumide, Assistant Director; Miss Taofiqat Adejoke Solaru, Assistant Director, Public Affairs; Mr. Freeman Henry Ayoola, Assistant Chief Technical Officer; Mr. Okeleye Sunday Oluwamayowa, Chief Clerical Officer and Mr. Falana Said Adigun, Head Day / Night Watchman.
General Manager, LASPPPA, Funmi Osifuye, commended the retirees, saying they had worked with integrity, without blemish and urged them to continue their post-retirement life as honest, upright, straight forward persons they were known to be while in service.
Admonishing the retirees, Mrs Bankole Bolutife, who represented the Head of Service, conveyed the desire of the HOS for the retiring officers “to be healthy for the rest of their lives, rest and do everything in moderation.”
She also advised them to be financially sensible as their streams of income would not be the same again.
A representative of the Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Mr. Benjamin Olusola urged retiring officers to ensure proper documentation at the Central Office, while Mrs. Uthman F.A of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development urged the retirees to take care of their families.
Responding on behalf of other retirees, Idowu thanked the State Government, particularly Ministry of Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development and LASPPPA for the opportunity given to them to serve the State and celebrating them at their exit.
