Senator Gemade’ reserve ticket in SDP force’s 3 senatorial aspirants out of party

    No fewer than three senatorial aspirants on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has left party following an alleged reserve ticket for incumbent Senator, Barnabas Gemade, Benue News.or reports.

    The trio of Professor Alakali, Dr. Iorwuese Ligom and Dr. Iornengen Chia vying for the Benue North East Senatorial seat under the SDP have just dumped the party.

    It was gathered that three aspirants who hail from Kwande Local Government Area left the party following indications that the senatorial ticket has been reserved for incumbent Senator, Barnabas Gemade.

    The Senator who also hopes to clinch the same ticket in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against former Benue Governor, Gabriel Suswam is reported to have pinned down the SDP ticket as a second option to retain his seat in next year’selections.

    Whilst it remains unclear where the candidates would pitch their tents, Prof Joseph Alakali, has since joined the National Conscience Party (NCP) is hopeful to be the senatorial flagbearer.
