    UAM Students asked to leave the campus till further notice.

    Earlier today 15th August 2018, students of university of Agriculture Makurdi Benue State, involved in a serious Riot. This happened as as result of an accident which claimed the lives of two students in a commercial bus which usually convey students from one point of the school to another.

    Affected Students

    Information reaching have it that, A test was to be written at North core. Only students with their school ID cards were allowed to partake, some students returned to get theirs. So bad for these students who used a public bus, with a bad Tyre. On their way to the venue of the test, the ended up in an accident… The tyre of their bus burst out and claimed lives of two instantly.
    Further information revealed that, some students were injured and rushed to the school clinic. The medical persons insisted that the clinic ID cards of the unconscious persons be made available before treatment. As the delay continued, three more died in the process.
    Angry students then set up to protest and Riot against such services. The tension increased rapidly, leading to massive destruction of properties on campus. They burnt down the public bus which got involved in the accident.

    Following the actions as explained above, the university management decided to shut down the school for the time being to quell the Riot.
