Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reflected on the success of his fourth studio album, ‘Timeless’ as he celebrated one year anniversary of its release.
It is worth knowing that ‘Timeless’ was released on March 31, 2023. The album marked the return of Davido on social media after taking a break to grieve the death of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The album comprises 17 tracks and features collaborations with Skepta, Angelique Kidjo, Asake, Focalistic, and The Cavemen, among others. He also featured his two DMW signee; Logos Olori and Morravey.
Davido’s ‘Timeless’ album was an instant hit when it was released, with hit songs like Unavailability and Away.
However, the 31-year-old Grammy nominated artiste took to his social media pages as he shared photos and video documenting his successful albums.
Davido, who had recently launched a music faculty in Ugandan varsity, revealed that his album was a journey of his self-discovery.
He wrote, “Reflecting on a year since Timeless dropped and my heart is full of gratitude. To my incredible fans your endless love and support has been everything to me”.
“To my team your dedication and hard work have turned our vision into reality yet again. This album was a journey of self-discovery, a testament to growth, resilience, and so much more. Today we’re celebrating this milestone and I’m nothing but thankful. THANK YOU GOD!”
