So this BSU 100 level guy and a lady went swimming in River Benue and got drowned. Reports have it that the body of the boy has been found but that of the girl is yet to be found. You see, that’s why since I was born in Makurdi I have only gone close to that river once and that was 2 months ago for the past 25 yrs of my life. I still recall how a boy from my area died in the river some 10-15yrs ago, in fact that incident increased my phobia for the river. Same way a UniBen student got drowned during NUGA games at Uni Agric 2years ago. People don’t know but they see the river to be shallow, it’s really deep folks, just know your limits. If you must swim just go to a pool and have fun please. I dey always talk without shame, I dey fear water die, that’s why till today I don’t know how to swim.

My condolences to the bereaved families and course mates of the students…🙏🙏🙏.
